Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has been shortlisted for the 2024 Ballon d’Or award, becoming the 8th Nigerian player to receive this prestigious nomination.
He is the only African player nominated for this year’s Ballon d’Or 🌟
The 26-year-old Atalanta star was announced as one of the 30 nominees by France Football Magazine on Wednesday, alongside some of the world’s top football talents.
Lookman’s impressive form in the Europa League, where he scored a hat-trick in the final against Bayer Leverkusen, and his instrumental role in Nigeria’s run to the Africa Cup of Nations final, have earned him this well-deserved recognition.
