FOSAD URGE GOVERNMENT TO REVERSE FUEL PRICE HIKE TO PREVENT FURTHER HARDSHIP ON NIGERIANS
The Forum of South-East Academic Doctors (FOSAD) has expressed strong condemnation of the recent fuel price hike, which has pushed the cost of petrol to nearly N1000 per litre. The group describes the move as “insensitive” and “counterproductive” to the government’s economic recovery goals.
In a statement signed by President Dr. Stephen Nwala and Secretary General Dr. Uzor Ngoladi, FOSAD argues that the timing of the price increase could not be more detrimental, as Nigerians are still grappling with the economic fallout from fuel subsidy removal, rising inflation, and unemployment.
The academics urge the Federal Government to take immediate steps to reverse the fuel price hike and explore alternative measures to address the economic challenges facing the nation.
