BONA NAIJAFunso Doherty, a former governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Congress (ADC) in Lagos, has announced his defection to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to a statement released on Monday, Doherty cited the need to present a united front against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as the reason for his defection.

Doherty, who aims to bring about effective and inclusive governance to the people of Lagos, promised to address pressing issues such as public water supply, reliable power, quality education and healthcare, mass housing, robust mass transit, and basic public law and order.
This development is seen as a significant boost to the PDP’s chances in the state, ahead of the upcoming elections.
