The Nkanu people of Enugu East Senatorial Zone are not leaving no stone unturned in their quest to produce the next governor of Enugu State.

The zone has made its stand clear based on the existing zoning system which favours them.

However, the people are not leaving anything to chance considering the uncertainties usually associated with politics especially in this part of the world.

In one of his interviews with EverydayNews, a former National Auditor of the PDP Barr. Ray Nnaji had warned that only the best candidate should be allowed to fly the Nkanu guber flag.

This may have informed the believed emergence of Capt. Everest Nnaji popularly known as Ondengene, as one of the leading aspirants to the throne.

According to report from EverydayNews there are moves from top Nkanu stakeholders to persuade him to present himself for the Governoship race.

The source confirmed that consultations have reached advanced stages all in an attempt to get Odengene aboard the guber train.

A philanthropist who has been of great assistance to his people, especially the indigent and downtrodden, this may be pay back time for Odengene.
