Court Nullifies Reappointment of Muhammad Sanusi II as Emir of Kano
The Federal High Court in Kano has declared the reappointment of Muhammadu Sanusi II as the 16th Emir of Kano null and void. Presiding Judge, Justice Abdullahi Liman, made the ruling on Thursday, June 20, 2024.
The court also invalidated all actions taken after the enactment of the Kano Emirate Council Repeal Law 2024, effectively rendering all subsequent activities null and void .
