H. Clay Jacke, the superior court judge, delivered Holder’s 60 years to a life sentence in the early hours of Thursday.
Jacke gave his verdict after hearing from one of Hussle’s friends as well as reading a letter from Holder’s father.
Holder was found guilty of murder as well as two counts of attempted voluntary manslaughter for the two bystanders injured in the shooting after a months-long trial.
He was, however, not eligible for the death penalty.
Dressed in orange jail attire, Holder stared straight at the judge throughout the proceedings. He, however, did not react when the sentence was read.
The sentencing, initially fixed for September 2022, was postponed at the request of the defense.
Thursday brings an end to a legal saga that lasted more than three years.
The late rapper and Holder were close friends who grew up in the same neighborhood and both had been affiliated with the local Rollin’ 60s gang.
