As part of efforts to address the challenge of inadequate accommodation faced by personnel of the Nigeria Armed Forces, the Nigerian Defence Headquarters have built a block of 54 flats for soldiers, ratings, airmen and airwomen serving at the Defence Headquarters.
Commissioning the well furnished apartments located at the Mogadishu Cantonment, Asokoro Abuja, Representative of the Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Adekunle Shodunke Congratulated the beneficiaries and called for strict maintenance of the facilities.

Not too long ago, the Chief of Defence Staff commissioned 156 flats for soldiers at Mambilla Barracks while another block of 114 flats was also commissioned at the Mogadishu Cantonment all in a bid to ensure a well motivated work force.
