Chelsea knock out Manchester City to reach women’s Champions League semis

Chelsea Women’s FC pulled off an incredible comeback against Manchester City, winning 3-0 at Stamford Bridge and advancing to the Women’s Champions League semi-finals with a 3-2 aggregate score.

After losing the first leg 2-0 in Manchester, Chelsea knew they had to score at least twice. They came out strong, with Sandy Baltimore scoring the opening goal in the 14th minute, followed by Nathalie Bjorn’s header and Mayra Ramirez’s goal just before halftime.

Chelsea maintained their pressure in the second half, with Erin Cuthbert striking the crossbar. Manchester City, despite being shell-shocked, managed to test Chelsea’s goalkeeper Hannah Hampton but couldn’t score.

This win marks Chelsea’s fourth victory over Manchester City this month, having already secured the Women’s League Cup title and extending their lead in the Women’s Super League. They’ll now face Barcelona in the semi-finals as they chase a historic quadruple
