Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Koyin, has confessed to lying about his age on the show.
During a conversation with fellow housemate Gigi Jasmine on Friday, Koyin revealed that contrary to his earlier claim of being 21, he is in fact 25 years old and will be marking his birthday on August 19.
Explaining his reason for shaving off three years from his real age, Koyin disclosed that it was a strategic move to gain an advantage in the modeling industry.
“I am 25 years old and not 21 years old. I had to reduce my age because of modelling,” he admitted.
Gigi, in her response, praised his openness, saying: “You have some high level of emotional intelligence which I appreciate a lot.”
Koyin’s revelation makes him the second housemate this season to come clean about giving a false age. Earlier, fellow contestant Ivatar confessed that she is actually 37 years old and not 40, explaining that her initial claim was meant as a joke.
