Parts of Balogun market in Lagos Nigeria has been gutted down by fire. Reports indicate that the fire department arrived at the scene but they failed to control the raging blaze.
No reports of casualties or deaths have been reported yet.
The cause of the fire is also not known at this moment.
While there is chaos and commotion at the market, thieves have taken it as an opportunity to loot the shops.
Barely a few weeks ago Onitsha market also burnt to ashes after a truck carrying fuel fell into a ditch.
One woman and her child were burnt to death as well as goods worth millions of Naira.
