The lawmaker representing Chibok local government Area in Borno state, Aimu Foni has said the nationwide state assembly party primaries of the All Progressive Congress did not hold in his local government as scheduled yesterday 26th of May 2022, due to the unknown destination of the delegates.
The lawmaker told newsmen that the sad development happened yesterday while the exercise was going on nationwide but that of his constituency was greeted with disappointments.
According to Aimu Foni both party faithfuls and the officer from the Independent National Electoral Commission have been on ground waiting for the arrival and commencement of the exercise but can’t tell the whereabouts of delegates that are said to be coming from Maduguri the state capital up till the time of filing this report on Friday May 27th, 2022.
In the meantime, attempts to reach the governor His excellency Prof. Babagana Zulum and the local government chairman has been unproductive as they are yet to answer their calls.
