Kano Pillars delivered a stunning performance, defeating reigning champions Enugu Rangers 4-3 in a high-scoring Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 7 encounter at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Wednesday.
Super Eagles skipper Ahmed Musa stole the show, scoring his third goal in two matches since joining his boyhood club in September. Musa’s strike on the stroke of halftime sealed Pillars’ 4-0 lead at the break.
Rabiu Ali opened the scoring from the spot in the 15th minute, followed by Zulkifilu Muhammed’s first goal of the season, set up by Musa’s brilliant play. Musa then converted a penalty to make it 4-0.
