Former Deputy Governor of CBN professor Kingsley Moghalu has pitched his tent with the Action Democratic Congress, ADC ahead of the 2023 Presidential Elections.

Moghalu announced on Friday that he is now a member of the ADC after leaving his former Party, the YPP in 2019. He aims to clinch the party’s ticket as its Presidential candidate.

He wrote:

Yesterday at a short ceremony at the party’s national HQ in Abuja, I became a member of the African Democratic Congress @ADCNig . The ADC is one of the driving forces of an emerging Third Force that will see a merger of several parties to take power in 2023 and begin the task of rescuing and rebuilding our beleaguered country.

Millions of Nigerians, disappointed by the old order of politics without governance, have been waiting impatiently for this new movement. By the Grace of God and with the support of the citizens of Nigeria we will prevail against all odds. Anyone who thinks 2023 will be a contest between @OfficialAPCNg and @OfficialPDPNig is living in the past.

Recalls that in June 2021, Moghalu announced his intentions to content for the Nation’s top seat in the 2023 Elections.

Moghalu contested as the presidential candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) in 2019 and lost to incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari.

He finished 14th on the election log with just 26,039 to Buhari’s 15.1 million votes.
