2023: Abaribe Schemed Out As Abia PDP Zones Guber Ticket To Abia North, Abia Central 

The Abia State chapter of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has finally zoned its 2023 governorship ticket to Abia North and Abia Central senatorial districts.

Publicity Secretary of the party, Chief Fabian Nwankwo disclosed this Saturday, during a press briefing at the party secretariat Umuahia.

Before now Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe who is from Abia South declared to run for governorship of the state under Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

With the current development it looks like the Senator has been schemed out of the  gubernatorial race even as stakeholders has  endorsed the current governor Okezie Ikpeazu to replace Abaribe at the Senate.

However, time shall tell as the politics ahead of 2023 general elections takes shape.
