The chairman Dr. Ben Nwoye narrowly escape death, when gunmen suspected to be hired assassins invaded his Enugu residence in the early hours of Saturday but met stiff resistance from his police attaches.
Gun battle reportedly ensued after the intruders gained entrance into the chairman’s compound.
One of the police officers attached to him received bullet wounds during exchange of fire.
The officer, Gerald Eke, who was seriously injured by bullet is currently receiving treatment at Orthopedic house in Enugu
